My Current Morning Routine

My routine always change as I love to try out new products and I am at a stage where I want to try out skincare products to see which fits my skin better. This routine I have been using since changing to spring and now its summer. For spring time I usually use products that a light weight, more to a watery consistence, easily absorb and choose gel type cream. As I have oily skin, acne prone, it gets clog up easily and it's dehydrated underneath my skin, there are many other problems as well but if I target each area with a product it will take a long long time to put them....  

I'm quiet new to the Korean 10 step skincare routine so I'm still experimenting with which products should go to which steps as it can get complicated with all these products from different asian countries, their consistence or their labels on the products. So this is the ways and order I use my skincare products. 

Cleanser 

As I have oily skin, my skin in the morning time gets build up with oil, sebum and dead skin so I need to use a cleanser to cleanse my pores and get all of these bad staff out. Each skin type is different, people with dry skin might not even clean their face with a cleanser just a rinse with water as an example. 

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Face Wash 100g - Japan foam cleanser

This cleanser is a foam cleanser it comes in a tube, I just need a dot and it turns into a creamy foam. It's skin pH balanced and it doesn't have any scent. It doesn't produce any bubbles when I rub it on my face instead it's like a creamy white lotion. I love it, the first time I used it. It isn't drying after use and super soft on the skin. Toner

Usually I will choose a toner that can help to clean my dead skin cells or anything that is left over on my face and can hydrate my skin at the same time. Also I will always use a cotton pad with my toner as I found that can also help with exfoliate my skin. 

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Facial Toner 200ml - Korean Toner

It came in a plastic bottle with a lid on the top there is a hole which lets the toner out and it's a thicker watery consistence. It's pH is around 5 which is in a safe range for a toner. It has a floral fragrance, perfume scent which I do not like but it's very moisturising for my skin. Purchased from Jolse for $13.98 USD

Essences

For essence, serum, lotion/emulsion, I usually go for watery consistence and fast absorbing products so I could layer my products without feeling sticky. Also this way it helps my skin to drink up all the nutrients and the product is not just sitting on top of my skin. And I will pick products that can help to repair my skincare concerns and target specific area of my skin. 

Goodal Waterest First Essence 150ml - Korean First Essence 

It came in a plastic bottle with a hole to pour the product out, the product is clear, watery consistence, has a very mild scent and it smell like fresh water spring time air, very fresh just love the smell and it’s gone once applied on skin. Hydrates, easily spread, fast absorbing and non sticky after applied. I use this day and night time because it just so good and my skin loves it. Purchased from Jolse for $17.83

Cosrx Advanced snail 96 Mucin Power Essence 100ml - Korean Essence

It came with a pump, in a frosty plastic bottle, the product is clear, a bit thicker watery consistence, stretchy as it’s made from snail mucin, no scent, takes a bit of time to absorb, dries in smooth finish, hydrates my skin and easily spread. I use it day and night time as it helps to repair and moisture my skin. Use Day and Night Purchased from Jolse for $15.20

Serum

Zymogen Houttuyia Cordata Ferment Serum 105ml - Korean Serum

It came with a pump, in a glass bottle, the product is in walnut colour, liquid water consistence, alcohol with herbal medicine scent, easily absorb and spread. Smooth and fresh finish on the skin and I use it to help with acne. Use day and night. Purchase from Jolse for $24.63

Lotion

Hada Labo Gokujyun Lotion Rich 170ml - Japanese Lotion

Plastic bottle with a hole to pour the lotion out, clear in colour, watery consistence, no scent, fast absorbing, easily spread and smooth finish. My skin drinks up all the goodness of this product instantly that’s why I have ordered a second bottle but it's in the whitening version this time to try. This hydrates my skin deep inside and I can see the difference if I’m not using this product. Use day and night. Purchased from yesstyle $22.71

Eye cream

I don’t have any lines, or dryness under my eye so I will go for an eye cream that prevents ageing but I do have dark under eye circles that it's naturally there so maybe in the future I will find a product that helps with that but for now collagen for my eye is good enough.

Moisturiser

Suncream

This is my current routine steps for my skin type which is oily, acne prone, dehydration, large pores, and pigmentation from acne. So when I chose products I always reflect back to what my skin needs not just seeing the labels or description advertise by the company on products or labels target for specific skincare types because each person have different skin issues. Also pay attention to the ingredient list as well that’s really important because if a products works well for you maybe there are ingredients in there you can look for next time or if a product doesn’t work out maybe there are products you want to avoid. 

This is just a little summary reviews of my skincare products and an overall morning routine. This is basically what I use everyday during the spring season, maybe if I have time I will do an in-depth review of each products or do an evening routine which include much more steps. 

Finally done this takes ages to do its like an essay, now I know how much work other blogger have to do to put up their content….Never know once you tried it……..
